The owners have introduced over the years many South Texas whitetails which were released on the ranch to enhance the genetics on the ranch. There are #2 – 5-acre DMP pens on the ranch specifically to improve the whitetail genetics on the ranch that can be used as soft release pens according to TPWD regulations. There are many turkeys and hogs on the ranch, and the dove hunting is great. There are 3 water wells with one being electric and two being equipped with a solar electric pump. One of these wells feeds the pond to have year-round water in the pond for wildlife, water troughs in the pasture and DMP pens.
