Monty is a fifth generation Texan and United States Marine Corps Veteran who grew up hunting and fishing throughout Texas and has a deep appreciation for the history and culture of the great state. After receiving his business degree, he went back to school and pursued his Masters in Range and Wildlife Management at Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Monty has participated in the management and stewardship of his family’s ranches in the South Texas Plains including the wildlife program and cattle operations. He has been the Director of Sales and Marketing for Farm & Ranch Publishing where he developed his expertise on Texas land magazine advertisements. In addition, he was the Chief Operating Officer for an oilfield services company dealing with landowners and oil and gas operating companies throughout Texas. Monty has a unique perspective and an abundance of resources dealing with land ownership including landowner’s rights, range and wildlife conservation, and oil and gas.
